Daytime TV Ratings Week of April 30-May 4, 2012: GENERAL HOSPITAL, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL Up

The daytime Nielsen ratings are in for the week of April 30-May 4, 2012. GENERAL HOSPITAL and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL improved in total viewers from the week before. Both shows, along with DAYS OF OUR LIVES, are up in viewers from a year ago. GH also saw a week-to-week bump in Women 18-49 viewers (B&B is the only daytime soap to show year-over-year growth in that demo).

1. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS 4,293,000 (-152,000/-250,000)
2. THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL 3,111,000 (+73,000/+288,000)
3. GENERAL HOSPITAL 2,408,000 (+53,000/+29,000)
4. DAYS OF OUR LIVES 2,331,000 (-52,000/+92,000)

FALL TV SEASON:

- ABC Renews SCANDAL; Picks Up NASHVILLE and Four Other Series; Cancels GCB
