Butler plays Dr. Ewen Keenan on GH.

Jane Elliot loves her GENERAL HOSPITAL exec producer Frank Valentini
"Frank Valentini is as good as it gets. He has that old-fashioned Gloria Monty commitment to the job and is the first one in the building in the morning and the last one out at night. And he works all weekend! This is not to say that the people before him didn't care, but he's committed to this show in a very unique way. There's no substitute for loving the medium. You know that saying "A new broom sweeps clean"? Well, that's Frank. As good as [former exec producer] Jill Phelps was and as much as I loved working with her, a new broom sweeps clean. Frank comes to this show with fresh eyes, with no disappointments, no frustrations over lost battles. He comes with everything he has to give."

NIKITA Promotes Noah Bean to Regular
When asked recently what she thought about the prospect of Bean joining Nikita full-time, star Maggie Q told us, “He’d be such an asset to the show [on a permanent basis]. These are all different [male characters]. You have [Percy], who’s your villain, Birkhoff, who everybody loves and is super-cute, and Michael, the brooding, sexy, leading man. And then you have this beautiful, intelligent, grounded character Ryan Fletcher, which I love… I think he’s great.”

Watch GLEE's Jane Lynch Host THE RACHEL MADDOW SHOW
Lynch led the show’s entire “Best New Thing in the World,” about increasing Republican support for same-sex marriage, in which she both pulled off an effective MSNBC anchor impression and recalled an alternate-universe episode of Sue’s Corner. But the greatest part of Lynch’s appearance happened after the camera pulled back and Maddow was still there, and the women finished out the show discussing Barack Obama’s support of gay marriage and how the political struggle for LGBT rights has affected their lives as lesbians.

CORONATION STREET recasts Ryan Connor
CORRIE released new 'street fighter'-themed pictures promoting the return of Ryan Connor and the arrival of Carla Connor's brother Rob Donovan. Marc Baylis has been cast as Rob, who turns up in Weatherfield following a stint in jail and turns to Carla for help in starting a new life.

Meanwhile, the role of Michelle's son Ryan has been recast after original actor Ben Thompson decided that he did not want to return to the cobbles. Ryan will now be played by Sol Heras and arrives back on the street after being thrown out of university in Glasgow.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS star Jesse Plemons joins BREAKING BAD cast
Plemons will play Todd, a dependable, innocuous, working-class guy in the show’s fifth and final season (which is slated to kick off in July and will be broken up into two eight-episode chunks). However, his character may not be what he appears to be.

‘Liz & Dick’ & Lindsay & Vitriol
Nobody, Larry A. Thompson says, should have to endure the e-mails that he has gotten since deciding last month to cast Lindsay Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor in a television film for the Lifetime cable channel.

Some, he acknowledges, are supportive. But others — from friends of Taylor, people who claim to have known her and the public at large — are less kind.

“I’m an idiot” is one theme, said Mr. Thompson, who spoke in an interview this week at his home along the fairways of the Los Angeles Country Club.

“How dare you?” is another. And some of the correspondence asks, “Why are you rewarding Lindsay Lohan?”
