Tuesday Night Ratings: RINGER Up, New Lows For GLEE, PRIVATE PRACTICE

The Tuesday night Nielsen ratings are in. Below is a roundup of April 17 ratings reports we have so far.

From ABC:
In the 10:00 p.m. hour, ABC's PRIVATE PRACTICE opened at No. 1 on its new day among Adults 18-49 (1.7/5) and Adults 25-54 (2.3/6). In fact, ABC led the hour for the 3rd week in a row with key Adults (AD18-49/AD25-54) and won for the 4th consecutive week with key Women (W18-49/W25-54).

From THR.com:
On Fox, GLEE lost one tenth from the previous week for a 2.7 rating among adults 18-49.

On the CW, RINGER ended its freshman season up a tick for a 0.5 rating.

From NYTimes.com:
On Fox, GLEE scored the lowest rating in the show’s history, a 2.4 in the 18- to 49-year-old age group that determines much of the network’s ad sales.

From EW.com:
PRIVATE PRACTICE delivered 6.8 million viewers and a 1.7 rating in the adult demo at 10 p.m. last night — a series low for the medical drama and down 19 percent from its last Thursday telecast a month ago.

  1. KEEP RINGER! GIVE RINGER A SECOND SEASON! IT WAS CW'S FAULT THAT THEY BROKE RINGER'S SEASON INTO TWO HALVES! THESE DAYS THEY DON'T GIVE A SERIES HALF A CHANCE TO GET OFF THE GROUND! WHAT IS WRONG WITH NETWORKS? WE WANT A CHANCE TO SEE OUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS DEVELOP! WE WANT TO KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THEM! IF THESE SAME RULES HAD APPLIED YEARS AGO TO TELEVISION, MOST OF OUR MOST BELOVED SERIES NEVER WOULD HAVE MADE IT PAST THEIR FIRST FEW WEEKS ON THE AIR. BRING BACK RINGER FOR A SECOND SEASON!
