INDIE SOAP BEAT: OUT WITH DAD Returns, New THURSTON, NICK NICKY, Season Finale of DEVANITY

Here's the latest news and episodes from the world of indie soaps:

* The 3rd Annual Indie Soap Awards on February 21 at New World Stages in New York were a huge success. You can read all about it, view photos and find out who made Anne Sayre's Best-Dressed list here. Then tune into The SFN on Sunday, March 18 to watch the telecast. If you want to be inspired about the future of serialized storytelling, this ceremony will do the trick.

* The first episode of our new web series, INDIE SOAP BEAT, will premiere on March 19 featuring guest star Greg Turner, creator of EMPIRE The Series. On ISB we will interview the stars of the web series community both in front of and behind the camera from bustling Times Square. On our debut episode we'll review this year's ISAs and preview the upcoming fourth season of EMPIRE.

* It was an especially good week in the world of indie soaps with three of the nominated Indie Soap Awards Best Dramas airing new episodes. We'll start with OUT WITH DAD, whose much-anticipated return was worth the wait. Rose, Nathan and Johnny attend their first PFLAG meeting and a couple of the stories heard were submitted by fans! * THURSTON aired a new episode on Sunday, "Beating the Devil," continuing its magnificent first season. Will Maggie be able to track down Nate? Watch it below:

* Finally, DEVANITY, which took the brilliant concept from its first season and perfected it during its second, aired the second season finale. Kyle Lowder guest stars as the DeVanity family implodes as only they can. Kudos to everyone involved in this project for delivering week after week. Watch it on The SFN at sfntv.com.

* Joe Wegner's NICK NICKY aired two more first season episodes as the ongoing saga of Nick and Nicky ended on a surprising dramatic note this week. What did Nick reveal? Watch below to find out:
