Daytime TV Ratings Week of February 20-24, 2012: ABC Celebrates THE REVOLUTION's 1.5 Million Viewers

It has been a while since ABC sent out a daytime ratings press release but the network found a way to spin last week's ratings (February 20-24, 2012) in a new release below:

* Surging by 25% week to week, THE VIEW stoodjavascript:void(0) as Daytime's #1 program in Women 18-34 (0.7 rating/221,000 - tie) and was the #2 program in Women 18-49 (1.2 rating/743,000) and Women 25-54 (961,000/1.6 rating).

* THE VIEW garnered 13-week highs in Total Viewers (3.847 million) and Women 25-54 (961,000) - since week of 11/21/11 - and a 12-week high in Women 18-49 (743,000 - since week of 11/28/11), posting across-the-board growth week to week, including by 10% in Women 18-49 (vs. 676,000).

* THE CHEW garnered a 6-week high in Women 25-54 (656,000 - since week of 1/9/12) and a 5-week high in Total Viewers (2.437 million - since week of 1/16/12), powered by Monday's telecast, "Cooking with the Stars - Melissa and Joan Rivers," one the show's Top 10 most-watched telecasts to date (#7).

o Moreover, THE CHEW surpassed ALL MY CHILDREN's year-ago weekly average by 7% in Women 18-34 (162,000 vs. 151,000) and nearly equaled in Total Viewers, pacing a mere -3% lower (2.437 million vs. 2.505 million).

* THE REVOLUTION posted its 2nd-most-watched week to date in Total Viewers (1.541 million) and Women 25-54 (449,000), behind only its premiere week. Moreover, Monday's telecast ranked as the series' #2 telecast to date in Women 25-54 (529,000), behind only its launch on 1/16/12.
