PREVIEW: ABC Sunday Night Soaps ONCE UPON A TIME, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES & PAN AM

ABC's Sunday night soaps air all new episodes on Sunday, February 12 as The Year of the Soap continues.

Fans of ONCE UPON A TIME will be able to submit questions and receive real-time responses from writer/consulting producer Jane Espenson, nominated for an Indie Soap Award this year, who will be up on Twitter at @JaneEspenson during the West Coast broadcast of the show from 8:00-9:00 p.m., PT. Espenson will also offer commentary and behind-the-scenes anecdotes about working on the show.

On Sunday’s episode, “Skin Deep” – which was written by Espenson -- after Mr. Gold’s house is robbed, Emma keeps a close eye on him when it looks like he wants to track down the criminal and dole out some vigilante justice as payback, and Valentine’s Day finds Mary Margaret, Ruby and Ashley (Jessy Schram, “Falling Skies”) having a girls’ night out. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, Belle (Emilie de Ravin, LOST) agrees to a fateful deal to give up her freedom in order to save her town from the horrors of the Ogre war.

ONCE UPON A TIME stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White/Mary Margaret, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold, Lana Parrilla as Evil Queen/Regina, Jared Gilmore as Henry Mills, Josh Dallas as Prince Charming/John Doe and Raphael Sbarge as Jiminy Cricket/Archie Hopper.

Guest starring are Jessy Schram as Ashley/Cinderella, Meghan Ory as Ruby/Red Riding Hood, Tim Phillips as Sean/Prince Thomas, Jarod Joseph as Billy, Beverley Elliott as Granny, Emilie de Ravin as Belle, Eric Keenleyside as Moe French/Sir Maurice, Sage Brocklebank as Gaston, Chris Shields as military advisor, John DeSantis as The Dove, Ingrid Torrance as severe nurse and Gabe Khouth as Sneezy.

"Skin Deep" was written by Jane Espenson and directed by Milan Cheylov.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES follows at 9 p.m. ET with "Is This What You Call Love?"

Susan is in for a shock when daughter Julie pays a visit and shows up six months pregnant.

Bree's alcohol consumption and lust for men continues to dominate and ruin her life.

Lynette's first sexual encounter since separating from Tom doesn't quite end in fireworks.

Gaby's attempt to sooth Juanita when she doesn't receive a Valentine's Day card from a boy she has a crush on backfires.

ABC's retro Sunday night soap, PAN AM, finishes the night at 10:01 p.m. ET with "Romance Languages."

Dean is surprised by the ramifications of his fling with Ginny when she stalks him to Rome with, frightening consequences.

Colette takes a precocious unescorted minor, Charlie, under her wing, who promptly develops a major case of puppy love.

Kate struggles with the dangerous fallout of her strong connection with Niko.

Laura is spellbound by a handsome photographer, Graham, who shot her for the Life cover.



PAN AM stars Christina Ricci as Maggie, Margot Robbie as Laura, Michael Mosley as Ted, Mike Vogel as Dean, Karine Vanasse as Colette and Kelli Garner as Kate.

Guest starring are Goran Visnjic as Niko Lonza, Erin Cummings as Ginny Saddler, Bill Heck as Graham and Lance Chantiles-Wertz as Charlie.

"Romance Languages" was written by Moira Walley-Beckett and directed by John Coles.
