THE VIEW Salutes ONE LIFE TO LIVE: Judith Light Added, Erika Slezak Co-Hosting

The hosts of THE VIEW will commemorate and honor ONE LIFE TO LIVE with a special one-hour theme show, hours before the daytime drama's final broadcast on Friday, Jan. 13.

"THE VIEW SALUTES ONE LIFE TO LIVE" will celebrate 43 years of love, passion, drama and intrigue of the generations of families of fictional Llanview, PA. Six-time Emmy Award winner Erika Slezak ("Viki Lord") will serve as a featured guest co-host.

Legendary creator Agnes Nixon is scheduled to appear, along with former "OLTL" alum Judith Light ("Karen Wolek"), Robin Strasser ("Dorian Lord"), Kassie DePaiva ("Blair Cramer"), Jim DePaiva ("Max Holden"), Robert S. Woods ("Bo Buchanan") and Hillary B. Smith ("Nora Buchanan").

The show will also feature additional "surprise" appearances; exclusive, never-before-seen footage of the final taping; never-before-seen interviews with some of the special guest stars and returning cast members; an exclusive sneak peek clip of the final broadcast of ONE LIFE TO LIVE; the last cast photograph, and a special video taped messages from past stars. A musical montage will showcase some of the show's most memorable moments.

  1. Disappointed that there hasn't been a People Magazine or Soap Opera Digest special like was done for AMC.

  2. M, I'm pretty sure SOD has released/is releasing a special OLTL issue. Haven't heard about People and last time they promoted it with an email to us much earlier.

  3. I'll never understand why something couldn't have been done to keep this show going, somewhere, somehow. Best cast, best soap ever.

  4. I share the same disgust that People didn't even bother with an OLTL issue. Shame on them. Both around longer than AMC and higher ratings. Heads should roll at People.

The View is asking people to tell them who/what they want to see on the OLTL episode. I say everyone contact them saying what they want to see is an announcement that the show is being greenlit back into production. Let's get mass amounts of people sending this message.
