PREVIEW: ABC Family Monday Night Soaps PRETTY LITTLE LIARS & THE LYING GAME

The Year of the Soap continues on ABC Family on Monday, January 16 with new episodes of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS and THE LYING GAME.

In “Let The Water Hold Me Down” on PLL at 8 p.m. ET, with Lucas missing and questions surrounding what happened out on the lake, Hanna can barely catch her breath.

With Caleb determined to find his friend, Hanna’s reluctance to help only causes more problems. Can Hanna really tell Caleb what happened in the boat without tipping him off to her larger “A” problem? And if she did tell him, would he be willing to stick around after hearing all the horrible things Hanna has done?

Meanwhile, Spencer follows a lead about “A” which guides her to an unexpected place and revelation.



PRETTY LITTLE LIARS won three Teen Choice Awards in 2011 for Choice Summer TV Series, Choice Summer TV Actress – Lucy Hale and Choice Summer TV Actor – Ian Harding. The show also won the “TV You Betta Watch” Award for 2011’s NewNowNext Awards as well as the “Cast to Watch” for 2011’s The Young Hollywood Awards.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS is produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television and is executive produced by I. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick and Leslie Morgenstein. The series stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Holly Marie Combs, Lucy Hale, Ian Harding, Laura Leighton, Chad Lowe, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse.

THE LYING GAME follows at 9 p.m. ET/PT with "Pleased to Meet Me" as an unexpected encounter switches the course of Emma’s life in Phoenix.

As Emma, Ethan and Thayer continue to search for the truth of what happened to Sutton at the lake, they follow a lead that raises more questions than it answers. But when a poorly-timed encounter threatens to expose her identity, Emma is left in a precarious position that turns her life upside down. Will she be able to recover? Meanwhile, Laurel impresses the crowd at her mom’s charity benefit with her musical talents, and Rebecca and Alec get to know each other better.

THE LYING GAME is produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television and is executive produced by Charles Pratt, Jr., Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo.
