THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL Joins Forces With United Friends of the Children For Two Special Episodes

Three-time consecutive Daytime Emmy Award-winning, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, adds another page to their history book of bringing public awareness to serious social issues as they join forces with United Friends of the Children (UFC) for two very special episodes to air on Tuesday, December 13 and Wednesday, December 14, 2011.

“Through our partnership with UFC, we are able to alert our viewers to the predicament facing our nation’s young adults who have aged out of the foster care system”, says THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL’s Executive Producer and Head Writer, Bradley P. Bell. “It is also another step in the journey of the character of ‘Stephanie Forrester’ to continue to keep her promise to help those less fortunate than herself.”

In these stand-alone episodes, Beverly Hills socialite and matriarch of one of the country’s most successful fashion houses, “Stephanie Forrester” (portrayed by multi-Daytime Emmy® Award-winner Susan Flannery), along with “Hope Logan” (portrayed by Kim Matula), follows former foster child, “Beverly” (portrayed by Gina Rodriguez), and “Dayzee Leigh” (portrayed by Kristolyn Lloyd) to the transitional living facility that “Beverly” has been living in ever since she aged out of California’s foster care system. At this home, known as “Pathways”, Stephanie and Hope meet with real-life residents of the facility and listen to stories about how they have been coping with life after foster care with the assistance of United Friends of the Children.

The United Friends of the Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bettering the lives of foster children and supporting former foster youth in their journey to become successful and independent adults. Through their programs, advocacy efforts, and direct involvement with youth, United Friends of the Children seeks to be a catalyst for change.
