Wednesday Night Nielsen Ratings: REVENGE Down, AMERICAN HORROR STORY Up

Here's a look at Wednesday night's Nielsen ratings:

- REVENGE was down more than 13% with a 2.6 Adults 18-49 rating and almost 8.0 million viewers.

- Compared to 25 YEARS OF SEXY: PEOPLE MAGAZINE'S SEXIEST MAN ALIVE! (in the same ABC time slot last year) REVENGE was up more than 73%.

- AMERICAN HORROR STORY is up almost 13% with a 1.8 Adults 18-49 rating and over 3 million viewers.

From the ABC press release:

"Revenge" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
From 10:00-11:00 p.m. opposite veteran dramas on CBS ("CSI") and NBC ("Law & Order: SVU"), ABC freshman drama "Revenge" ranked No. 1 for its 3rd straight broadcast in Adults 18-49 (2.6/7-tie). In addition, "Revenge" was the highest-rated series in the hour for its 8th consecutive telecast with Adults 18-34 and Women 18-34.

* "Revenge" continued to exhibit impressive year-to-year growth for ABC in the hour, jumping over the year-ago night with original Sweep programming ("25 Years of Sexy") by 93% in viewers (8.0 million vs. 4.1 million) and by 73% in Adults 18-49 (2.6/7 vs. 1.5/4). In fact, on average among viewers and young adults, "Revenge" is ABC's strongest series to air in Wednesday's 10 o'clock hour in more than 4 years - since "Lost" during the 2006-07 TV Season.
