NEWS ROUNDUP: J.R. Martinez & Girlfriend Go On NIGHTLINE, Differing Opinions On GLEE's Santana, Victoria Rowell's "Page To Stage"

Recovery center cheers for J.R. Martinez to win DANCING WITH THE STARS
Martinez, 28, spent 34 months in recovery at the Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston in Texas after being wounded by a land mine in Iraq in 2004. He had burns on more than 40 percent of his body in the accident, the San Antonio Express-News reported Sunday.

"With his attitude, when he would come back [for rehabilitation], we'd often use him to walk around and talk to the other guys so they could see where they would hopefully be several months, several years down the road," said Lt. Col. Louis Stout, chief nurse at the burn center.

J.R. Martinez’s Girlfriend Says She Doesn’t See His Scars: ‘I See a Hot Sexy Guy … I See the Man That I Love’
In an exclusive interview with ABC’s Deborah Roberts for NIGHTLINE, Martinez and Jones, his long-term girlfriend, talked about their relationship. The first time they met, Jones told Roberts that she wasn’t thrown off by Martinez’s scars.

“The minute I met him I didn’t see them,” Jones said. “I think it was I saw them on the audition tape, and then when we met it was like, I didn’t see them.”

Dark Shadows costume designer talks about the look of Johnny Depp’s Barnabas
"He plays a vampire who wouldn't normally go out in the daytime, but we wanted him to be able to have outings, so I did two or three different hat shapes and we tried them once he got his hair and makeup on," Atwood tells MTV News. "I also found these amazing hundred-year-old sunglasses, but they were too small ... so I took them and had them copied. And the color of the sunglasses and the color of the hat and his costume coat, which was a really dark green, is one of our favorite combos we've come up with in our work together."

Naya Rivera Forced Out Of the Closet On GLEE: Opinions Vary
Lesbian entertainment website AfterEllen.com said Santana's insults did not justify Finn's actions. “I am not happy with Santana in this scene, but right now I never want to see Finn Hudson's face again.”

But Entertainment Weekly came to Finn's defense, writing: “I know that this will be divisive because he essentially outed her, but I don't think it was done out of meanspiritedness (yes, Finn is still the complicated 'hero').”

CORONATION STREET star Kym Marsh sick of online backlash to being a working mother
“I’ve actually had a bit of a backlash on Twitter, with people thinking I shouldn’t have gone back to work after having a child. I had 10 months of my 12 month entitlement off. But they asked me why I went back to work after having my baby. I responded to it, saying because I have to work, and they told me I should stay at home and just live off my partner’s money. I think some people live in the dark ages. It’s outrageous. Working mums everywhere have a right to know that there are such bigoted people out there."
