Actor Jan Kooijman is going to leave the Dutch soap opera GOEDE TIJDEN SLECHTE TIJDEN. Jan debuted on the show in February 2009 as Danny de Jong. Quickly the actor became very popular. On December 23 he will film his last scenes. Fans will have to say goodbye to Danny de Jong at the beginning of March 2012.Apart from GTST Jan is also one of the judges on the Dutch/Flemish version of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (Jan was a professional dancer).
Danny de Jong was not Jan's first soap role. In 2005 and 2006 Jan appeared on ONDERWEG NAAR MORGEN as Just Klarenbeek, a guest role. His character had a relationship with another male character. When his love interest left, his character fell in love with a female character. Not much later his character was written out. ONDERWEG NAAR MORGEN was canceled in 2009 (the last episode aired in May 2010).
