  1. I do remember Jane White as Nurse Lydia Halliday on Edge Of Night during my early high school days in Chicago. Her murderous orderly assistant was played by a then-unknown Scott Glenn.

Ms. White, the daughter of prominent civil rights activist Walter White, also played Queen Aggravaine to Carol Burnett's Princess Winifred in the stage (1959-1960) & TV versions (1964, 1972) of the Broadway musical Once Upon A Mattress & also was an accomplished classical theatre actress in Shakespeare, Shaw, Ibsen & Greek tragedy.

Her last known Broadway credit was the role of Solange La Fitte in the 2001 revival of the Stephen Sondheim musical Follies. I was lucky enough to see her wonderful performance during a springtime visit to NYC!

    Brian :-)
