PREVIEW: ABC Sunday Night Soaps DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES & PAN AM

ABC's DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES is back on Sunday, October 2 (9:00-10:01 p.m. ET) with an all-new episode, "Making the Connection."

Susan discovers a dangerously thrilling way to help ease her guilt over being an accessory to the murder of Gaby's evil stepfather while Gaby plans a sexy surprise for Carlos to help him gain his sexual mojo back

Meanwhile, Bree learns an interesting tidbit about Chuck's past: Lynette and Tom find it hard to say "no" to their kids' sometimes outlandish requests so as to not come off as the "bad guy" as their marriage woes continue. And Renee tries to win over hunky new neighbor Ben by finding out his passions.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES stars Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Marcia Cross as Bree Hodge, Eva Longoria as Gabrielle Solis, Vanessa Williams as Renee Perry, Ricardo Antonio Chavira as Carlos Solis, Doug Savant as Tom Scavo, Jonathan Cake as Det. ABC's new Sunday night soap hit, PAN AM, returns for its second episode (10:01-11:00 p.m.), "Eastern Exposure."

After a last minute change sends the crew on a flight to Rangoon, a routine courier mission for Kate turns harrowing as she struggles to make a drop by the deadline.

Meanwhile, Maggie takes naive Laura under her wing and shows her the wilder side of the city; and news of a space mission leads Ted to reflect on his own past and what his powerful family connections have cost him.

PAN AM stars Christina Ricci as Maggie, Margot Robbie as Laura, Michael Mosley as Ted, Mike Vogel as Dean, Karine Vanasse as Colette, and Kelli Garner as Kate.

Guest starring are Jeremy Davidson as Richard Anderson, Jay O. Sanders as Douglas Vanderway and C.J. Wilson as Howard.
