Monday Night Ratings + Dharma and Greg in Two and a Half Men

The season premiere of TWO AND A HALF MEN on Monday night drew a series-high 27.7 million total viewers, almost doubling the audience of the CBS sitcom's opener in 2010. The show replaced Charlie Sheen with Ashton Kutcher and, after one week, it paid off. One of the surprises of the episode was the appearance of Dharma and Greg (former soap star Thomas Gibson). DHARMA & GREG was also created by Chuck Lorre. Watch their brief appearance below and find out how CASTLE and THE PLAYBOY CLUB performed in the ratings.

ABC’s CASTLE, which with 13.6 million viewers and a 3.2 rating improved on its previous premiere by 21 and 14 percent, respectively.

Against incredibly stiff competition, THE PLAYBOY CLUB managed 5 million viewers and a 1.6 rating.

ABC Family's THE LYING GAME averaged 1.193 million viewers and a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating, which was steady vs. last week.

  1. Well I was one out the 5 million viewers for Playboy Club. I love it being set in the 1960s (love period pieces)and man how it opened up with the murder of a mob boss. The way they did it was ingenious the bunny's stiletto hitting his aorta. The surprise was toward the end with the married bunny talking on phone to her husband and a man steps out of the bedroom and says "Nobody will find out" was delicious way to kick things off. My favorite is going to be the "Chocolate Bunny" I fell in love with her already and she will be fun. I just hope they gain more viewers and is a hit, we need a soapy fun primetime series. If not I watch until it ends.

  2. I loved Playboy Club too. I knew it would have a hard time in that timeslot. DWTS and Two and Half Men were going to have monster ratings helping the 10pm shows on ABC and CBS. I hope NBC gives it a chance to grow.

  3. If you want Playboy Club to continue, convince everyone you know to watch. It is a VERY expensive show to make and NBC will pull the plug if the ratings don't improve. Believe me, this is inside info., thus my lame "anonymous" moniker.
