FLASHBACK: ALL MY CHILDREN's James Mitchell "The Way They Were" 1980

As a tribute to ALL MY CHILDREN's final weeks on ABC, we continue our series of daily Flashbacks today with a feature on James Mitchell, who played Palmer Cortlandt on the soap for decades.

In the September 1980 issue of Rona Barrett's Daytimers magazine, "The Way They Were" takes a look back at Mitchell's private scrapbook of photos from performances he gave over the years.

There will never be another character like Palmer Cortlandt!

We hope you enjoy and come back daily for a new AMC classic article.

  1. I appreciate and enjoy these flashback posts. My only minor gripe is that, while you show the magazines' front covers, you don't allow them to be enlarged for a closer view as you do with the pages with the actual feature articles. Changing that would up my grade of these posts from A to A+.

  2. If you actually save the image it's the same size as the others. But great point, we can make that more obvious in future postings.

  3. Thank you for the change. I noticed that the cover is clickable in the Mark LaMura post. Nice to know about saving the image too, but the change/improvement is better.
