NEWS ROUNDUP: Anne Hathaway Used EMMERDALE To Master Yorkshire Accent, LYING GAME Up In Ratings

Anne Hathaway loves British soap EMMERDALE
Anne Hathaway has said she turned to British soap EMMERDALE in an attempt to master a Yorkshire accent for her new film One Day.

"It was really hard," she admitted. "I worked with a dialect coach and in the evenings I watched Emmerdale a lot. It was certainly helpful with the accent, that's for sure."

"EMMERDALE's great," she told the AP at the One Day premiere in London yesterday evening. "We don't have programs like that in America so it was actually quite exotic for me."

THE LYING GAME up slightly in ratings for second episode
The show scored another 0.5 adults 18-49 rating, steady versus last week, but was up 84,000 viewers to 1.47 million.
