The talented young actor has also written, produced, directed and starred in a short film, Cope, about two special operations soldiers return from war, wrought with post traumatic stress.

Kelly himself served three tours in Afghanistan and one in Iraq as an Army Ranger according to his IMDb page.

  1. Very interesting choice. I am wondering what Joey's (and Josh's) age is approximately as I am wondering who he might potentially be a love interest for. And while I know all about the history of Kelly and Joey...there has to be more to it then that in order to stir up some drama. Like for example, could Joey potentially be a rival for his father Clint when it comes to Inez?

  2. He's gorgeous, no doubt, but he looks too much like Brody for my tastes.

  3. soaprookie, Joey Buchanan is roughly 34-35 years old, while Josh Kelly is 28 years old. Given that Kevin should also be around as Joey returns to Llanview, JK will definitely be playing older. Automatically, there stands an eighteen(!) year age difference between Dan Gauthier and JK.

If JK has the chops, I can overlook some key issues, but he's going to need to come to the table with serious chops for this to work. Hmmm...

  4. Thanks for the response, Cory! Lately, they seem to be starting to play fast and loose with characters ages without considering the actors playing the roles...I am looking at you, Ford family!
