I'm happy for OLTL but wish AMC were doing better. It's a much better soap than GH. I can't find myself liking any characters on GH other than Robin. The rest of characters are just blah.
ReplyDeleteI can't root for Sonny or Jason. Dante and Lulu have eaten the show. Michael is OK. But, Alexis, former heroine has now killed two people and gotten away with murder and manslaughter.
I could go and describe Maxie as immature and irritating. Spinelli has crossed the line into passive aggressive creepy, self pity.
Maya is unknown. Well, she's black and GH doesn't care about developing characters of color fully. Look at how Epiphany has become a caricature.
Lucky & Dante turn a blind eye to most of Sonny's crimes and are willing to blackmail a judge.
Clair Walsh, a supposedly intelligent woman has trashed her career by sleeping with with the head of major crime family. Really, if a prosecutor had slept openly with John Gotti, would anyone expect her to have kept her job (or been the target of a criminal probe!)?
I guess I like Johnny since he's always been straight forward.
But, that's GH.
Oh, yeah, there's Jax a man so bent on revenge, he inadvertently steamrolled his stepson into prison. He's also a character who is a corporate raider known for destroying companies and destroying jobs. So, not a great hero in this economy.
Then there's Brenda. Why would any intelligent woman who escaped a mobster allow herself to be sucked back into his world? She's seen everyone around Sonny be kidnapped, murdered, or worse but she just can't resist Sonny.
Where are the strong women on this show?

In contrast, OLTL and AMC have ample supply of strong, independent women. Sure a couple are sometimes dumber than bricks, Greenlee and Kendall, but then we have Angie, Erica, Bianca, and others.
