After the surviving the Michael Shea fiasco and several other lovers in the early 1970s, Lisa found love again on AS THE WORLD TURNS with attorney Grant Colman (James Douglas).
The couple's main obstacle was Joyce (Barbara Rodell), Grant's ex-wife, who had given birth their their son Teddy (later known as Ryder Hughes) and given him up for adoption without Grant's knowledge. Teddy had been adopted by Mary and Brian Ellison, and Joyce devoted much energy to getting both Teddy and Grant back.
Sadly, Lisa and Grant divorced and both Grant and Joyce left Oakdale in 1981, although Grant returned on a few special occasions in subsequent years.
how cool! i never knew James Douglas did daytime. Shame he didn't reprise his role of Steven Cord in Return to Peyton Place. Shocking that he didn't become a huge daytime star. He has the looks and is a brilliant actor.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more - I LOVED Lisa, Grant and Joyce. I was thrilled when he came back a few times in the 1980's (bless you, Doug Marland).
