TRIVIA: TEXAS ("starring Beverlee McKinsey") premiered 30 years ago today on Monday, August 4, 1980. The show was created by John William Corrington, Joyce Corrington, and Paul Rauch. Watch below.
Thank you so much for remembering the 30th anniversary of Texas' debut. It had a rough start, but the acting was always top notch, particularly in the hands of the late, great Beverlee McKinsey. I also loved the early battles between Carla Borelli's Reena and the late Elizabeth Allen's Vicki.
ReplyDeleteI've left different suggestions on the Procter & Gamble blog to resume their webcasts of Texas. On the former AOL channel, we had just nicely made it up to late 1981, when the show's quality improved even more. That was the beginning of the Pamela Long era as one of the show's writers and eventually head scribe. At least we have some of the show's most memorable moments on You Tube. It sure would be fun to watch the antics of Alexandra Neil's Ruby and Tina Johnson's Lurlene in the Hitopah plot.
