Creator Kyle Killen said of his ambitious soap at the TCAs: “If it’s a failure, it’s going to be a spectacular failure.” Killen sold the show as DALLAS without the cheese. “We hope to go a couple of seasons before we have hair-pulling cat fights.”
Ryan Murphy: We have 4 seasons of GLEE mapped out
"We obviously have to deal with the cast and the show that we hope goes on for years," Murphy told critics. "We've sort of mapped out the first four years with this original cast. The thing about the show is you have set competitions that are true. There are sectionals and nationals, (but we also) want to go to Copenhagen or Moscow for international competitions."
GLEE's Lea Michele narrowly avoids car crash
Michele was on her way to The Hollywood Reporter's Emmy Roundtable at the Chateau Marmont when the incident occurred. While stopped at the intersection, a car running a red light collided with a truck, causing the truck to flip over multiple times before eventually stopping a few feet from Michele's vehicle. The star immediately exited the car and stepped to safety on the side of the road.
ITV swings into first-half profit
Commercial broadcaster ITV said on Tuesday that it bounced into profit in the first half of 2010, and launched its first-ever move into pay-television as part of a new five-year strategy. ITV, which airs popular soap opera CORONATION STREET, said in a results statement that it soared back into black thanks to improving advertising revenues and the World Cup in South Africa.

Kate Jackson writing memoir
Gallery Books said Tuesday that CHARLIE'S ANGELS and DARK SHADOWS star Kate Jackson will look back on her acting career and her personal crises and triumphs, from surviving breast cancer to adopting a boy. The book, currently untitled, is scheduled for June 2011. Gallery is an imprint of Simon & Schuster.
