Last night award recipients for the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards were announced in San Francisco, the final event of the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards. Special Honors were given to Cybill Shepherd and Lee Daniels. Chely Wright, Rodney Crowell, and Sam Sparro performed. Shepherd's daughters Clementine Ford (Mac, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS) and Ariel Shepherd-Oppenheim presented the award with her. Clementine brought her girlfriend Linda Perry to the show and Ariel brought her girlfriend Carmen Chambers.
Award recipients included Lady Gaga, AARP.com, and the documentary Ask Not. Celebrities included Nikki Blonsky, Bruce Vilanch, Thea Gill + Michelle Clunie, Wilson Cruz, Linda Perry, and Derrick Martin who was famously thrown out of his home by his parents after taking his boyfriend to prom.
