NEWS: Biederwolf, Donohoe, Rinna, Irizarry, Tori & Farrah

Marshfield native Kurt Biederwolf hopeful for a music composition Emmy win
"One thing I've learned," said Biederwolf. "You can only be relaxed for so long, but as soon at they get to your category, your heart starts pounding like crazy, which is weird because I'm a pretty mellow guy."

Nominated twice before, but without a win, Biederwolf, who is a chair at Berklee College of Music in Boston, is part of a team of composers that creates new music for the daytime soap opera.

"I do the recording, all of the editing and mixing," said Biederwolf. "And then I deliver it to the show for them to use. I do all the music myself and occasionally they'll ask to record a live musician, but 99.9 percent of music is me and my computers."

July issue of Gladys will feature Vincent Irizarry article
The article, autobiographical in nature is about an event that happened to Vincent as an 8 year-old-boy living in NYC during the week of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This event had such a profound effect on Vincent, so much so, that after more than 40 years he had decided to put it to ink and paper.

Amanda Donohoe: When recession hit I knew I had to keep working - EMMERDALE gave me that chance
"I asked them to be clear on why they wanted an actor like me. I do drama, I don't want to do anything else. It was a case of 'If you want drama, let's go for it. If not, then don't expect me to be anything other than who I am. That's who you employed. Right?' Once we got that straight they were happy to go with it. I expect in many ways I'd like to raise the bar a little and that's what I'm trying to do."

Tori Spelling claims Farrah Fawcett contacted her from beyond the grave
“I was talking to a medium hoping my dad would come through,” Tori said. “Farrah Fawcett came through in my reading loud and clear. It was really awkward [for the medium]. He’s like, ‘I have never had this happen’.”

Lisa Rinna is spokeswoman for female viagra
German drugmaker Boehringer Ingelheim today is trying to convince a panel of expert advisers to the Food and Drug Administration that female sexual dysfunction is a very real and serious condition and that its pill flibanserin should be approved. Getting the backing of the experts may be a tough sell as FDA staff raised serious questions about the safety and efficacy of the drug. Former DAYS OF OUR LIVES and MELROSE PLACE star Lisa Rinna is a spokeswoman for Boehringer's educational campaign. Today, the company is making the case that women are suffering because they have this condition in which there is no treatment.
