EVENT: So Long Springfield Cruise Sets Sail July 31

The So Long Springfield events have been hugely successful, even beyond most people's expectations. The demand to see the stars of GUIDING LIGHT shows the impact those actors and characters made on the lives of fans for decades. On July 31, So Long Springfield returns with a twist, this time a cruise. Thirteen stars from the 72 year old soap will spend five glorious days up close and personal with their fans aboard the So Long Springfield Cruise on Carnival's Glory.

Who:
Thirteen famous stars from the daytime soap opera GUIDING LIGHT will spend five glorious days up close and personal with their fans aboard the So Long Springfield Cruise on Carnival’s Glory. The star studded lineup includes Kim Zimmer “Reva,” Jordan Clarke “Billy,” Robert Bogue “A.C.,” Marcy Rylan “Lizzie,” Grant Aleksander “Phillip,” Robert Newman “Josh,” Liz Keifer “Blake,” Justin Deas “Buzz,” Tina Sloan “Lillian,” Ron Raines “Alan,” Michael O’Leary “Rick,” Mandy Bruno “Marina” and Beth Chamberlain “Beth.”

What:
GUIDING LIGHT aired for 72 years on CBS entertaining fans and keeping them on the edge of their seats with riveting storylines. Fans old and young will have the opportunity to spend personal time with their favorite soap stars aboard the “So Long Springfield” Cruise, beginning as they board the ship at a “Welcome Aboard” meet & greet in New York. Not only will fans receive photos, hugs and autographs, but they will be singing karaoke and dancing disco with the stars. Activities aboard the ship include Guiding Light Theater, an evening of actor performances, workshops with a director, acting out favorite GUIDING LIGHT scenes with the stars and a farewell cocktail party. The first 200 registrants will attend a VIP breakfast with the actors. This cruise is a soap fan’s dream-come-true. Sailing from New York, this ship will visit majestic Halifax, Nova Scotia and Saint John, New Brunswick in Canada. There will be two relaxing days at sea in which guests can take advantage of the Carnival’s Glory amenities such as four restaurants, a 24-hour pizzeria, four pools, a health club and many more entertainment options.   1. They put on GREAT events, I have been to a few. I wish I was going to this one, but I went to SLS @ Mohegan. I would def. have done the cruise had I known about it first. I have gone on their Soap Cruise before, so I know it will be a blast for whomever goes!!
