CBS Daytime Putting Faces Behind Potential New Shows

CBS has hired Andy Richter to host the pilot for a revamped version of PYRAMID, which the network is considering to replace the soon-to-stop-turning AS THE WORLD TURNS in September.

Meanwhile, the CBS version of THE VIEW, also a potential ATWT replacement, has lined up Sharon Osbourne for a pilot along with Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen and Holly Robinson Peete.

  3. I'm done with CBS; I have ordered 200 more channels HBO and Showtime. I'll be watching classic TV shows on Retro TV. I just can't get into another soap, not knowing the characters and their history.

  4. I also won't be watching either show.
With all the casting B&B is doing, it still wouldn't surprise me if they bumped B&B to an hour and only picked up one half hour new show.
But I think old Les Moonves would only expand B&B if they put the Chenbot on there. :)

  5. Ok I confess that I love Sharon Osborn I just can't help it but what is with CBS turning into the game show network? They'll have only 2 soaps and the rest of there daytime lineup will be revamped game shows gosh can't they at least come up with a new one?

  6. Ugh. I'm as big of a game show fan as a soap fan but every time I read about "potential replacements" for ATWT, I just get a lump in my stomach

  7. hey, i figured out how we can save ATWT, put Julie Chen on as a regular, her husband wouldn't dare cancel it with her on it.
