Piqua Teacher Finalist In AS THE WORLD TURNS Contest
April Grove is hoping to be selected to appear and sing with Eileen Fulton as the soap opera that can be seen on WHIO-TV. She is a junior high math teacher in Piqua. Viewers have until Wednesday, April 21, to vote. The 10 finalists will be reduced to three and another online vote will determine who will go to New York City for the taping.

Hal Holbrook says anniversary performance will be special
Wednesday is the 100th anniversary of the death of Samuel Langhorne Clemens, and at 7:30 that evening, the Elmira performing arts center that bears his name will present a one-man show featuring Holbrook to mark the occasion. Holbrook has been working on this act since he was on THE BRIGHTER DAY in 1954.
