COMMENTS FROM THE PANEL:
Alan Carter: The true mark of what he meant to daytime...within about three months of his arrival, every show had a guy with an accent. Note to producers: it wasn't just the accent we fell for. The man could act!

Roger Newcomb: Not only did he take daytime by storm in the 1980s and leave his mark on the genre, his 2008 comeback on NIGHT SHIFT was brilliant. In 2010 he's about to shake up the industry again by starring as Trevor Rains in his new web soap REALITY BYTES.

INTERVIEW ARCHIVE:
- REALITY BYTES for Tristan Rogers & Kate Lang (October 2009)

  1. Looks like this poll is starting off wrong. Tristan should of been higher than the start off.

  4. The funny thing about Robert is I always liked him okay, but loved Holly, loved Anna, loved Robin. By the time he left GH I wasn't really even that big a fan of Robert anymore. I missed Anna but not him, until he returned to the show during the GH hospital sweeps crisis in 2006, and I had missed him and what his character brings to the show. To follow that up with Night Shift was wonderful.

  5. Really? 50? I call for a recount! This is an actor who: started the "accent" copycat syndrome, turned a short stint into an illustrious career, brought RS back numerous times with gusto, and still has fans following him. His talent and insight is even now making new waves. Should be re-scored to #1. Pul-eeez!

  7. I'm a big fan - But Rogers would place much much higher on a list of the top male soap stars than on a list of the top male soap actors. For many years, Rogers was the reason to watch GH, but it was his star quality, more than his acting, that was so important.

I still wish they would bring him back and retcon BJ as being his son after all (Gloria Monty's ridiculous switch to Julian Jerome being the father never made a whit of sense anyway)

  8. @ Greg I think you mean Lucas Jones. (Bobbie and Tony's) adopted son. I agree it was far fetch seeing the audience didn't see Cheryl actually cheat on Robert, but I agree with the last mintue change to Julian Jerome. I only wanted Robert to have children with Anna, so it worked for me.( As a R/A fan I am bias.) Now R/A cam have more than more child if they wanted to explore that angle. Beside Robert was the moral compass,(when GH had a moral compass) of the show to have 2 children with 2 different mother(which wasn't by any of his great loves) would have been out of character for Robert. Anyway TR needs to be in the top 10...can't wait to see more.
