Investment in web series will hit $138 million by 2013
The industry in original content made for the web will grow rapidly over the next few years, according new research. Content Economics estimates that $46.9 million was spent in Europe and the US on producing web series last year and it forecasts that that total will rise to $138 million by 2013.

Watros doesn’t kick off her multi-episode arc as Wilson’s first ex-wife and new girlfriend until April 17, but series creator David Shore says he’s already toying with the idea of keeping her around long-term. “We’re talking about that,” he tells me. “It depends what’s going to give us the most bang for our buck dramatically.”
