Mckinsey Recovering

Beverlee McKinsey continues to recuperate at home following a household accident which resulted in multiple breaks of her left shoulder. McKinsey stars as Iris on NBC-TV's daytime drama ANOTHER WORLD (2:30-4 p.m.).

Alone in her New York apartment February 18, McKinsey tumbled from a ladder while replacing a curtain rod. It was over three hours before her husband, Berkely Harris, discovered her lying immobile, and obtained medical treatment.

Although her shoulder is now out of the cast, she is required to wear a sling for several more weeks, according to her doctors.

Surgery was not performed on the severely injured shoulder because of the actress' extreme reaction to anesthesia. As a result she will only regain 75% use of the affected arm. Continuing to undergo extensive physical therapy, Beverlee is expected to return to ANOTHER WORLD following recovery and a brief vacation.

McKinsey said she was overwhelmed by the many gifts, cards and get-well wishes she received in the days following her fall.
