  1. I enjoyed this video (my first!) very much. I only watch AMC, so this was of great interest to me. Thanks for sharing your perspective and video of the NYT event......wish I could of been there (Gig Harbor, WA is too far away!). Great conversation and appreciate you bringing Will in for his perspective. It was interesting to hear AMC plans to get back to its heart and roots. I love the show and can't imagine it not being on the air.

  3. I am a bit confused about one thing: exactly who is Will Clark? what is his connection to the soap world, other than being a fan of AMC?

  5. @Beth - It is completely our pleasure to bring this to you and our viewers. We wish you all could have been there!

@Boidiva02- Will Clark is well known in New York City as a generous and tireless fundraiser, and has raised over $100,000 for GLBT charities throughout the city. He is also representative of the millions of lifelong AMC fans that tuned out in recent years for reasons stated in our show. I think he is a fascinating barometer of whether or not AMC can win alienated viewers.

  6. Thanks for the comments everyone.

If anyone missed our radio show with Will Clark, that's a fascinating listen. Will has a great knowledge of AMC (and a great memory) that goes well beyond anyone else I know. His story really mirrors what I've heard from many soaps fans in recent years.

  7. Very interesting interview! I've watched AMC since 1980 as a kid. As a kid, I loved all the "adult" storylines.... Daisy/Palmer/Myra (oh, the bantering between Palmer and Myra!), the barbs between Myrtle and Langley (she knew his real identity!), Erica moving to NY and dating the married Brandon Kingsley, etc. I so wish the suits and writers would watch your interview with Will ... it's right on target about why they have lost viewers. He is so right about AMC from 2003 on ... the unabortion, and that horrid destruction of Tad's character by having him torture a human being in the most heinous and gruesome way... Cady McClain was right about that when she objected to what they did to Tad's character with that plot device. Will nailed it about changing history (the unabortion) for a short-term gain ... the same thing happened with GH when they changed Luke/Laura and Robert/Holly history for a short-term gain... Ethan, who will most likely end up being fade away and be a footnote in GH history.
