A new Amanda on ALL MY CHILDREN
ABC Soaps in Depth is reporting: "JaManda fans, cherish your time with Chrishell Stause while it lasts: Soaps In Depth hears that the show is in the process of recasting the role of Amanda. Though earlier this year the actress announced she was leaving AMC, she planned to continue playing Trevor's mom on a recurring basis after the soap moved to California later this month. But rather than wait to recast the part until after Stause moved on to other projects, we hear that AMC may go ahead with the change much sooner. An AMC rep has no comment."

Univision to produce its own telenovelas for American television
Univision, the nation’s highest-rated Spanish language television network, plans to announce on Monday the formation of a dedicated studio division and the hiring of an experienced producer to run it.

The move reflects Univision’s effort to produce and own more of its programs. For years virtually all of the network’s hugely popular serialized soap operas, called telenovelas, have been imported from other countries under a deal with the Mexican media giant Televisa. Over time, the studio will allow Univision to reduce its dependence on overseas producers.

  1. Ok first who else gets a cold shudder down there backs when they see the name Ellen Wheeler in the news? And secondly is AMC crazy? The reason Jake/Amanda works is because of the chemistry, they can't just recast and expect it to be fine look at what happened with Sabine a lovely actress but she didnt work with the Greenlee/Ryan pairing. They need to tred easily with this.
