NBC: DAYS OF OUR LIVES #1 IN W18-34

For the week of December 14-18, DAYS OF OUR LIVES (1.4 rating, 9 share among women 18-49, 1.1/7 among women 18-34) tied for #2 among network daytime series in the women 18-49 demographic and ranked #1 outright in the women 18-34 race.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES matched its highest women 18-49 rating, a 1.4, in the past year (since the week of December 8-12, 2008) and matched its highest women 18-34 rating, a 1.1, in 11 months (since January 12-16, 2009).

Season to date, DAYS OF OUR LIVES is tied for #2 in both the women 18-49 race and the women 18-34 category.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES is delivering its biggest audiences at this point in the season in three years in women 18-49, women 25-54 and total viewers.

Season to date, DAYS OF OUR LIVES is up 6 percent in women 18-49 (981,000 vs. 923,000), up 11 percent in women 25-54 (1.078 million vs. 969,000) and up 12 percent in total viewers (3.2 million vs. 2.8 million). DAYS is generating the biggest year-to-year gains for any daytime drama on any major network in women 18-49 viewers, women 25-54 viewers and total viewers.

Ratings reflect “live plus same day” data from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of “live plus seven day” data except for the two most recent weeks, which are “live plus same day.”

  1. This is good news but the big question is will it be enough to buy it a renewal. I have to hope that with much of NBC in the dumpster this show will be seen as a bright spot worth saving. I just wonder what the Comcast purchase of NBC will mean for all of its programming. This is a fascinating transition time for broadcast networks and daytime television in particular.
