Friday's episode of THE VIEW featured a tribute to ALL MY CHILDREN as the soap says goodbye to New York City. The episode featured Agnes next, and the women and men of Pine Valley. Plus, the "mystery" of who was stealing things from the set was solved.
I really enjoyed the Agnes tape piece. It was interesting because they always show that clip of young Erica dissing her small town roots, but I remembered her talking about NYC, so it was funny to see her say. "Hollywood and Vine."
ReplyDeleteAlso, Shari Sheppard seems unable to separate actors from their characters even through she has worked across the hall from them for 3 years!
It was a nice tribute. Some good clips (although far too few of them). Nice interviews with the cast and with Agnes. The mystery of someone stealing props was fun too.
ReplyDeleteI do wish the hosts had been better prepped. Barbara should have known that the show was 40 years old, not 30. Luckily Joy made a joke of it saying it's 40 but looks 30.
And Whoopie got her timelines way wrong. AMC never aired after Dark Shadows. AMC originally aired in the 1 p.m. time slot, while Dark Shadows was a late afternoon soap, airing at 4 p.m. Plus they were only on the air simultaneously for a year and three months. AMC debuted in Jan. 1970, while Dark Shadows was canceled in April 1971.
