ABC: Jonathan Jackson Returns to GH on Oct. 27

Three-time Emmy Award-winning actor Jonathan Jackson returns to GENERAL HOSPITAL in the role of Lucky Spencer - son of super couple Luke and Laura - which he created as a teenager. His first airdate is Tuesday, October 27.

"We are very excited to welcome Jonathan back to Port Charles," says executive producer Jill Farren Phelps. "His return will be sure to captivate the audience and be pivotal to this ongoing love story between some of the show's most popular characters."

In storyline, Lucky wants his former wife, Elizabeth, to remarry him, but unbeknownst to him, Elizabeth has strong feelings for Lucky's brother, Nikolas. When Luke finds out what's going on between Elizabeth and Nikolas, will he tell Lucky the truth?

Jackson has appeared in both feature films and television series, including TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES, The Deep End of the Ocean, Tuck Everlasting, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, among others. In addition to his Emmy wins, he won two Soap Opera Digest Awards. He is also the frontman for the band Enation with his brother, actor Richard Lee. Together they've released several albums and garnered a Top 10 single on the iTunes Rock Charts.

  1. After watching Greg Vaughn as Lucky, seeing this picture of Jackson makes me think that his is too young looking for the grittiness that has been Lucky's life: adultery, drug addiction, father of two adopted children.

I'm sure Jackson will be a great actor but it's been 10 years away from the role.

  2. I'm so happy Jackson is back. He is such an amazing actor. I really don't care about him looking too young. I always thought GV looked too old. Besides I think since JJ is such an amazing actor he will have no problems portraying grittiness and turmoil.
