Crystal Chappell watched GL finale in DAYS dressing room
"Oddly enough, I was here [at DAYS] and watched it in my dressing room," says Crystal Chappell (Carly, DAYS; ex-Olivia, GL) of the final airing of the 72-year-old soap on September 18. "It was heartbreaking. The whole week was heavy, though, but a very good week. You knew the show was coming to an end. Even though I knew it was coming, I wept when Alan died in such a noble way. I like that people had their happy endings. When Josh and Reva drove off in their pickup truck and they scrolled the end, it was like, 'Oh my God!' It was just devastating. So sad!"

Welcome to CLIFFHANGER FALLS
If you ever dreamed of writing, filming or starring in your own online soap-opera spoof, prepare to love Tyler Downey and Bo Lais. The Kansas City duo created CLIFFHANGER FALLS as a choose-your-own-adventure book gone viral, filming the pilot episode with local actors and local director Ty Jones. It's up to audiences to choose what happens next and execute it.

"You can just pick up where it left off and continue the story," said Downey, who wrote the first episode. "I tried to set it up so there are lots of different story lines to follow."

Soap Opera Will Urge Hispanics to Participate in 2010 Census
A character in the soap opera MAS SABE EL DIABLOW (“The Devil Knows Best”) will urge Hispanics to participate – enthusiastically and without any fear – in the 2010 U.S. Census, Telemundo, the country’s No. 2 Spanish-language network, announced Tuesday.

“It’s important that they count all of us,” actress Michelle Vargas, who portrays “Perla Beltran” on the successful soap, told Efe. “And it’s important that people know that the information the Census collects is confidential, that they shouldn’t be afraid.”

Shock suicide plot for HOLLYOAKS
One of Hollyoaks' youngest characters will attempt to take their own life in an upcoming shock storyline twist. Schizophrenic student Newt - played by 18-year-old Nico Mirallegro - makes a shock suicide pact at an abandoned warehouse with his newfound female friend Rae (Alice Barlow), who he meets while on the run.

Believing that he'd be framed for Gaz's (Joel Goonan) attack, a mentally unstable Newt fled the area with his imaginary friend Eli (Marc Silcock) who returned when he stopped taking his medication.

Victoria Rowell on her Obama dress at the Primetime Emmys
"Setting the ruffles and caviar dreams aside is but a meager gesture to echo the herculean efforts of a health care reform package long overdue and one which President Obama is introducing for all Americans," Rowell told ESSENCE.com. "I spent 18 years in foster care, enduring inadequate health and dental care and unforgivably, was turned away more than once at a doctor's office. Nationally, 25,000 foster youth annually emancipate from foster care without health coverage," says Rowell. "I emerged from Washington D.C. Health and Human Services as a proud American citizen – an advocate not a victim."

Mackenzie Phillips: I Slept with My Own Father
Former GUIDING LIGHT actress Mackenzie Phillips (ex-Rachel) will appear on OPRAH today and discuss a shocking family revelation. "On the eve of my wedding, my father showed up, determined to stop it," writes Phillips, who was 19 and a heavy drug user at the time. "I had tons of pills, and Dad had tons of everything too. Eventually I passed out on Dad's bed."

Jude Law: Did he steal ATWT's Noah's idea?
Actor Jude Law has appeared on the big screen and the small screen - but now he's set to appear on the smallest screen: your cellphone. Law's new project Rage, an experimental film in which the British thespian plays a drag queen, is being released straight-to-phone on September 24. The film's writer/director Sally Potter told WENN, "We don't know how this is going to work, especially since it is the first ever feature on cellphones. We're making it up as we go along and taking the plunge and the risk."
