Saturday, August 15th was a real treat for ONE LIFE TO LIVE viewers in New York. Not only were fans able to meet and greet with some of their favorite stars on a cruise around Manhattan, but there were several other fun opportunities as well.
First I was treated to a reading of “Red Carpet Riot,” the new novel released by “David Van Etten,” who is actually a combination of writers David Levithan, David Ozanich, and Chris Van Etten. The latter has been writer for ONE LIFE TO LIVE since 2005. Robin Strasser, Jason Tam, Brittany Underwood, and John-Paul Lavoisier were on hand to read and act out various chapters from the book. Immediately afterward I ran down the street to catch Catherine Hickland’s hypnotism show. Hypnotism, according to Ms. Hickland, allows one to relax their consciousness in order to release their inner power and change some bad habits. Her enthusiasm and passion for this work was matched only by her ability to relax her volunteers and open up their subconscious mind to laugh, to sleep, to sing, and to even do a River Dance. If she comes to a town near you, I highly recommend you check it out. She was quite gracious and patient afterward and she talked to all of her fans and admirers that wanted to speak with her.
