Twitter ruffled a few more journalistic feathers this week when AMERICAN IDOL judge Paula Abdul became the latest household name to usurp the breaking news power of traditional media by making a big announcement on the social networking site.
90210 Zip Code ControversyA Beverly Hills city councilman says he won't lobby the U.S. Postal Service to remove the famous 90210 zip code from an area of adjacent Los Angeles. Councilman John Mirisch had wanted the Los Angeles section, known as the "Beverly Hills Post Office Area," to get a new code. Mirisch says sharing the 90210 zip code, made famous by the 1990s TV show, occasionally caused confusion for police, fire or ambulance crews. His fellow council members opposed the plan and Mirisch tells the Los Angeles Times, "I think it's pretty dead."

7TH FLOOR WEST on LATE NIGHT
LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON has gained some attention recently with their silly Internet soap opera 7TH FLOOR WEST. It features writers and other Fallon staffers stabbing Jimmy in the back – plus, in the words of the host, "a lot of weird, awkward staring" familiar to viewers of THE HILLS.
O.K. Can Grey's finally bring back Dr. Burke/Isaiah Washington? The guy has done every thing humanly possible to redeem himself.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, Heigl and what's-his-name who just left Grey's have been ungrateful, whining jerks. Jeez, T.R. Knight and crying girl are always complaining for people making/mad $3 million a year.
I'd rather have a recovered, redeemed former asshat working at Grey's that this complainer. I know a ton of people (including most of the cast of Guiding Light would love to have Heigl's problem).
It's not like Heigl or Knight faced losing their homes (like many GL actors and crew might be) or had bosses who were deliberately cruel and abusive.
