News Round-up: Spelling, Beemer, Towb, Hackford

Candy Spelling sends open letter to Tori via TMZ
Candy Spelling, widow of Aaron, mother of Tori and Randy, definitely has a lot of issues with her daughter. Candy has now taken her feud with Tori even-more-directly to the media via an open letter given exclusively to TMZ. She starts by referring to her 36-year-old daughter as "middle-aged" and it goes downhill from there.

An excerpt from Candy's letter: "My husband taught me that the plots have to be fresh and updated. The same old whining gets tired after a while. Enough complaining about what may or may not have happened during first grade or YMCA camp, or what vegetable you were forced to endure, especially when you are privileged enough to be on TV and get paid for it."

  1. Candy Spelling, so much class and decorum...

Did you ever see "NoTorious," Tori Spelling's satirical take on her life? It was great. One of the highlights of the show were Tori's flashbacks of being abused by her mother followed by a quick "I don't know."

  2. I never actually watched a full episode but did see highlights.

In the past in my mind I sort of compared the Spellings of primetime and the Bells of daytime.

But when I interviewed Lauralee Bell and heard her genuine love for her parents and her brothers, I realized just how unfair the comparison really was.

It's a shame that Aaron Spelling's legacy is overshadowed by this battle between Candy and Tori.
