News Round-up: McDocs, GH, Hulu, BETTY Bottle

ABC finally on Hulu
Five episodes of GREY'S ANATOMY kicked off ABC on Hulu on Monday. The show's episodes available on Hulu will mirror recently shown episodes on broadcast TV, Hulu and ABC said. ABC will then roll out other content on the site throughout the rest of this week. Both Hulu and ABC didn't say which shows will next appear on the site.

GENERAL HOSPITAL same day episodes appear in Hulu.com searches along with SOAPnet programming. They actually link you back to ABC.com and SOAPnet.com though at this point.

Why Hulu Succeeded As Other Video Sites Failed
Not only did Hulu have something people wanted, it had a brand promise that was clear and distinctive: Hulu is where you go for network TV. That’s different from YouTube, which is where you go to watch the biggest collection of video that isn’t on TV. Hulu, in effect, is Amazon.com to YouTube’s eBay.

GREY'S ANATOMY's McDocs Join Valentine’s Day
Two of Seattle Grace’s finest are doffing their scrubs and joining the ever-growing cast of Gary Marshall’s ensemble romantic comedy Valentine’s Day. Patrick Dempsey will play a married obstetrician (which is totally different from a brain surgeon), who romances Jennifer Garner on the side. Patrick’s fellow doc, better known as McSteamy, Eric Dane, will play a quarterback struggling with the decision to retire

Kelly Rutherford Will Raise Kids Alone -- But First, It's Time for a Tabloid Photo Feature
While her GOSSIP GIRL character, Lily van der Woodsen has gone through more husbands than Chuck Bass has purple bowties, Kelly Rutherford tells Life & Style magazine that she plans to "raise [her] children alone."

And "in a move straight out of a soap opera" (more predictable than GOSSIP GIRL), Rutherford says she thought another kid would keep them together.

"I found out I was pregnant, and I thought, Oh, maybe things will be nice, maybe it will be calm," she told the mag. "But it wasn't. Things only got more intense."
