Julie Marie Berman may play the lead in a new film
Filming will start next week for a theatrical movie that its writer/director/producer calls a psychological thriller with a message. Rachel’s Return is the story of a young woman dealing with the issues of promiscuity and peer pressure.

Di Tommaso said casting for the movie is still underway and the lead character may be played by either Julie Marie Berman (Lulu, GENERAL HOSPITAL) or Danielle Monet.

Exporters plan to expand Middle Eastern presence with soap opera star
The İstanbul Association of Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters is considering expanding its presence in Middle Eastern markets with the help of Turkish soap opera star, Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, whose popularity is at a peak in the Middle East.

Report: Bad Economy Might be Good for Ratings of Emmy Telecast
While the Primetime Emmy telecast has faces recent years of declining ratings, CBS should not be worried about its performance when it airs the show live Sept. 20, Forbes reports.

While many less-watched cable shows claimed a large amount of nominations Thursday morning, that may not lead to less viewers. According to Forbes, several award shows that have aired this year to date have performed better than expected.

"Pericles Redux" plays L.A. July 17-25
Not Man Apart Physical Theatre Ensemble's "Pericles Redux," inspired by the Shakespeare adventure and directed by John Farmanesh-Bocca, begins a nine-performance run at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Los Angeles July 17. It plays to July 25. Emmy Award winner Jennifer Landon is among the performers.

Mischa Barton hospitalized
Mischa Barton has been hospitalized and is currently under a doctor's care after making a nonemergency phone call to the police on Wednesday, Barton's rep confirmed to E! News Thursday.
