ReplyDeleteSo pedestrian, but the passion of the players sold it. I can't remember seeing something that moving on daytime lately.
Why oh why can't US daytime understand that THIS is the formula? And why oh why is international distribution of these shows still so limited?
My version of Soapnet would be a financial failure, but dubbed international episodes would be one of the strong components!
Wouldn't it be easier to subtitle international soaps? That way you don't lose 50% of the original actor's acting. And you don't have to pay all the voice actors. :-P
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's because here in the Netherlands we're used to subtitles. We don't dub movies and tv shows. It only happens with movies/tv shows for children.
