Harve Presnell Dies at 75

Harve Presnell passed away on Tuesday, at the St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California. He was 75 years old and the cause of his death is said to be pancreatic cancer. Presnell’s agent Gregg Klein had confirmed the news.

Born in Modesto, California, the actor had had a humble debut in the entertainment world, singing in an opera at the age of sixteen. He had received huge acclaim in the 1960s with the release of the Broadway musical “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” where he had played the role of Johnnie Brown. He had also acted in the screen version of the popular musical.

He made numerous memorable television appearances over the years. Soap fans will remember him for his role as Matthew Crane on RYAN'S HOPE in the mid-80s. Crane was one of Delia's many husbands during the show's run.
