GH's ratings are horrid. Wasn't it just a few months ago that every one was convinced that GH would be the only ABC soap left standing and OLTL would be the first canceled?
ReplyDeleteABC's execs must be the most incompetent in daytime to let their soaps be destroyed by Frons, Pratt, and Guza. People criticize Ellen Wheeler but the woman seemed to be trying every desperate move she could to save her show. Can we say the same about the ABC Trio of Trash?
I so agree SoapFan78, GH's ratings are getting worst and worst as the weeks go by. TIIC of GH don't really care that the ratings are in freefall because they have yet to make any attempts to save it. The storylines that they have going on now are awful and boring with the exception of the karaoke scenes. The writing is horrible and the characters and history of the show has been destroyed with all the rewrites it does not seem to get any better. The fans of GH are fed up and are using their remotes to turn the channel or turn it off, but TPTB don't seem to realize that their viewing audience is made up of women and they don't want to see sleazy women and half naked women day in and day out. We want to see love and romance, family units, friendships. Not all the violence towards women and children, and strong women dumb down to weak and helpless and abusive relationships. Frons is destroying with his agenda and all the backstage politics and sometimes I wonder can this show be saved but not until Frons is gone.
ReplyDeleteI loved the karaoke scenes too. It was such a fun change of pace to Jason and Johnny shooting up some people earlier in the week.
ReplyDeleteIt is curious that no major changes have happened behind the scenes with the ratings dropping like they are.
