WLS Review: Tom Pelphrey Shines in "My Italy Story"

I saw Joseph Gallo's "My Italy Story" at Mile Square Theatre on Wednesday night. The play is a one-man show starring Emmy winner Tom Pelphrey who was superb playing the lead character, Thomas DeGato. Pelphrey also provides the voice for all the characters, mostly family members, and I was amazed from beginning to end with what ease he went in and out of the various voices. Pelphrey displayed his huge range equally excelling at comedy and drama. If you are in the New York City area, Pelphrey has four more performances of this play. Don't miss it!

Pelphrey was scheduled to return to work at GUIDING LIGHT on Monday, June 22, but the show delayed his return a week. We had joked previously that if he had to learn one more line addition to the entire script for "My Italy Story," his head might explode.
