AS THE WORLD TURNS star and oral cancer survivor, Colleen Zenk Pinter, addressed graduates at the New York University College of Dentistry graduation ceremony on Tuesday afternoon.Surrounded by her husband and children, Zenk Pinter also accepted NYUCD’s Strusser Memorial Award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to improved public health.
“Zenk Pinter’s willingness to share the story of her personal struggle with the disease and her determination to have oral cancer incorporated into the AS THE WORLD TURNS storyline, gives her acceptance of the Strusser Memorial Award special resonance,” says NYUCD’s Dean Charles N. Bertolami.

ReplyDeleteI just wish the show had done a better job with her cancer storyline, rather than touching upon it and then using it as a prop in the Meg/Paul mess.
