News Round-up

INTERVIEW: OLTL's Scott Clifton, Kristen Alderson and Brandon Buddy
In a preview of where their story is headed, Alderson tells TV Guide Canada: "The story climaxes the week of March 2nd, but the repercussions will be felt long after. After that week, you won’t know who will talk to each other ever again. It gets pretty intense. A lot of other characters will be brought into the story."

More on Stacy Haiduk's Y&R character
Stacy Haiduk will be playing Mary Jane on Y&R and she'll be the new PR rep for Jabot. She'll first air on March 18.

Soap's 1st gay nups unsealed by a kiss
ALL MY CHILDREN's Bianca and Reese wed this week in daytime's first gay wedding, but the honeymoon is over next week when one of the brides takes a hike.

"It only lasts a day," says Eden Riegel, who plays Bianca. "Reese kissed Bianca's brother-in-law [Zach]. Not only kissed, but made out! It's devastating."

"Reese knows she's a lesbian," says Riegel. "And Bianca is the love of her life. But people do dumb things when trying to come to terms with who they are. Reese has a lot of growing up to do."

She'll have to do it without Bianca, who takes their daughters and heads back to Paris.

"Kendall wants Bianca and Reese out of her face and away from her husband," says Riegel. "Bianca agrees to her sister's terms because she sees Kendall needs space. But Reese decides to stay in Pine Valley, where everybody hates her - go figure. She thinks, 'If I can get Erica and Kendall to believe that my love for Bianca is real, maybe Bianca will give me another chance.' It doesn't make a lot of sense."

Former AMC actress Kelli Giddish cast in FOX drama about "past-life investigators"
The reincarnation drama, which comes from FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS writer David Hudgins, is about a team of investigators who look into clients' past lives to solve problems in this one. Australian actor Nick Bishop will play a recently fired detective whose wife recently died. Giddish (ex-Di) will play a psychologist who believes in reincarnation, and Ravi Patel will play a therapist.

Seriously, Start Watching FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS Now
"Like the Dillon Panthers, FNL has had to beat some pretty long odds just to make it this far. Were it not for the deus ex machina of DirecTV, it would be off the air by now. It still has a miserable time slot and a reputation as a show about football, which it really isn't. It will probably get canceled after this season whether you start watching now or now. Watch anyway."
