Highlights of Phillip Returns Interviews

Here are some highlights from the various promotional interviews that have taken place with the GUIDING LIGHT cast leading up to Phillip's return today.

Grant Aleksander (to Sara A. Bibel): "As soon as he arrives he starts encountering people. He’s got issues with all of them! So I think he comes back with the desire to clean up some of the situations that he created before he left and some of the problems that have arisen since due to the circumstances under which he left. The biggest one is Lizzie. He thinks that she’s the most vulnerable, being subjected to negative influences inside and outside the family."

Grant Aleksander (to Matt Mitovich)
"He finally feels like he's healthy and stable enough. He may have issues to deal with [but] he's here to make amends."

Beth Chamberlin (to Michael Fairman): "Grant and I are close and we stayed in touch. Truthfully, we got closer after he left the show, than when he was on the show. We did not see one another that often. We would talk, but he and his wife live quite far from my husband and me, so we rarely see one another. It’s lovely to see him as a friend at that level, and then the other level getting to work with him as an actor. He is such a wonderful actor. Grant is talented and committed to the work. I hold Grant in the highest regard."

Beth Chamberlin (to Dawn at Soaptown USA
"Phillip arrives at the church in the nick of time, or maybe not. It depends on your point of view as to whether it's good timing or not. Keep watching in the next few weeks and you will be really satisfied with your show! It's just really good storytelling that the writers have put together and I think it's the kind of thing where people won't want to miss a single episode."
