SARA A. BIBEL: Textual Analysis
"SOAPnet's Sugar Free Valentine's Day promotion is a bright spot in the network's quest to become the poor woman's WE. The promos featuring actors recounting the worst pick-up lines they've ever heard and singing cheesy love songs are a lot of fun. They're also giving away one of the funniest sweepstakes prizes ever: a virtual boyfriend for a year."

Thaao Penghlis asks for help in picking Emmy episode
"Do any of you insightful people out there remember a show that stood out this past year. The one in the hospital with Joe where I attacked his character after he came out of the coma was a strong one. We can submit only one show this year. If you have any ideas please let me know."

Leeds designer creates CORONATION STREET wedding dress
CORRIE's Molly Compton is set to tie the knot with fiancé Tyrone Dobbs, played by Alan Halsall, on Monday but in line with true soap opera tradition, the day does not go according to plan.

Award-winning talent James Steward, who has designed clothes for style icons including Victoria Beckham and Kylie Minogue, made the beautiful gown for Molly.

"I'm really excited. I just hope there's a good view of it. It's also a bit scary because there's going to be 13 million people judging it."

Former CORRIE star lands dream role
Stephen Graham has to be one of the happiest men in showbiz. Not only does he have gangster flick The Crew hitting cinemas on January 12, but he is also possibly lined up his dream job.

The Liverpool-born star, whose previous credits include a stint in CORONATION STREET, said: "I've just been asked to play Al Capone with Martin Scorsese, so that might be the dream role. Weirdly enough, it's by the same people that made The Sopranos. It's going to be HBO's new series."
