Director's Guild of America Nominations Announced

The Directors Guild of America today announced the Guild’s nominees for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Television, Documentaries and Commercials for the year 2008.

Former ANOTHER WORLD star Don Scardino was nominated for Directing the "Do Over" episode of 30 ROCK. Scardino also played Greg Nelson on ALL MY CHILDREN as a temporary replacement back in the early 1980s and had a stint as Frank Ryan on RYAN'S HOPE as well.

In the Daytime Serials category the nominees are:

LARRY CARPENTER

This is Mr. Carpenter's sixth DGA Award nomination. He won the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Daytime Serials for ONE LIFE TO LIVE - "Episode #9947" in 2007 and for ONE LIFE TO LIVE "Episode #8849" in 2003. He was previously nominated for that series for "Episode #9686" in 2006, "Episode #9385" in 2005 and "Episode #8655" in 2002.

WILLIAM LUDEL
GENERAL HOSPITAL - Episode #11,462
